How the fire affected carabid beetle species

Hot off the press findings from our first two field missions after the fire and sorting through all the samples in the lab. We see big reductions in abundance and species richness in forest fragments consistent with severe disturbance. The scientifically interesting questions now focus on resilience, the ability to bounce back after the severe disturbance. That is, what happens next?
